Atlassian's brand new Sydney HQ may be my favorite corporate headquarters on the planet. I mean, just look at it. I've never seen a better place to spend 40 hours a week. Also it takes big balls to invest $1.4B in an office in the post-covid world. Upon completion, the Atlassian HQ will be the world's tallest hybrid-timber building.
The tower consists of six discrete but interconnected "habitats." Each four-level "habitat" is a freestanding mass timber construction supported by a steel exoskeleton. Each level has a naturally ventilated zone acting as a garden for the Atlassian team to get some fresh air in the middle of their workday.
